Terms of Use
GridFlora Terms of Use
Welcome to GridFlora, a decision support tool for agrivoltaics planning. This tool is provided by Shepherd's Garden. By accessing or using GridFlora, creating an account, or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, the Disclaimer, and the Acceptable Use Policy.
What GridFlora Provides
GridFlora generates planning scenarios and estimates based on your inputs and publicly available research. As of the effective date, it is not professional forecasting, financial advice, or certified analysis. Results depend on the assumptions you enter.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use and represent GridFlora results. Do not present them as professionally verified analyses. Always verify outputs with qualified experts for your specific situation.
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You may not share, resell, transfer, or publish paid access credentials.
Paid Access and Billing
Prices, billing intervals, included access, and any trial or refund terms displayed at checkout are part of these terms. If you choose a recurring plan, it renews automatically at the disclosed interval until canceled. You may cancel through your account before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewal and does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law or stated at checkout.
Taxes may be added where required. Payments and member accounts are processed through Squarespace and its payment service providers under their applicable terms and privacy practices. We may change future prices or plan features with notice. A price change does not alter a period already paid for.
Limited Right to Use GridFlora
While your access is active, Shepherd's Garden gives you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use GridFlora for lawful personal, internal business, research, or educational planning. GridFlora and its licensors retain their rights in the software, original content, selection and arrangement of data, visual design, and proprietary methods. Public records and third party materials remain subject to their own ownership and terms.
User Inputs
You retain rights you hold in information you submit. You authorize Shepherd's Garden and its service providers to process that information as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, subject to the Privacy Policy. Do not submit information you do not have the right to use.
Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy below. You may not bypass a paywall or access control, scrape or systematically extract the tool or its data, reverse engineer or copy protected elements, disrupt the service, use the service unlawfully, or use results to mislead another person.
No Warranties
GridFlora is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about accuracy, completeness, availability, security, or fitness for any purpose. Results may contain errors or omissions.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Shepherd's Garden is not liable for decisions, losses, or damages arising from use of or inability to use GridFlora. This includes indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue GridFlora or an account when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service, respond to legal requirements, address nonpayment, or enforce these terms. We will provide notice when reasonably possible. Continued use after posted changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Michigan law. Any dispute will be resolved in Michigan courts, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

GridFlora Privacy Policy
At Shepherd's Garden, we respect your privacy. GridFlora collects and processes information needed to provide, secure, and improve the tool.
Data We Collect
- User inputs: Details you enter for planning scenarios, such as site specifications or assumptions. Some calculations may occur in your browser. Information submitted through a form, account, or connected service is processed as described here.
- Account and contact information: Your name, email address, account details, support requests, and information you provide when joining a plan or contacting us.
- Transaction information: Plan, payment status, billing interval, and related transaction records. Payment card details are handled by Squarespace and its payment service providers rather than stored directly by GridFlora.
- Usage and device data: Squarespace may process page views, referring pages, browser or device information, approximate location, IP address, and similar activity data for site operation, security, and analytics, depending on site settings and your cookie choices.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, payment card details, confidential contracts, or information you do not have the right to use in scenario fields or general contact forms.
How We Use Data
- To provide, administer, secure, and support GridFlora.
- To manage accounts, purchases, subscriptions, and requested communications.
- To understand site use, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service.
- To prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their independent advertising.
Squarespace and Other Service Providers
GridFlora is hosted on Squarespace. Squarespace and its service providers process information needed for hosting, member accounts, commerce, payments, security, cookies, and analytics. We may also use providers needed for email, forms, data hosting, and technical operations. These providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own applicable privacy terms.
Cookies and Analytics
Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the site and may use analytics cookies based on site settings and your choices. GridFlora's separate custom event collection is disabled unless it is enabled and the required consent has been recorded. We do not intentionally add advertising cookies.
Use the cookie banner to accept or decline nonessential cookies. You can revisit the cookie settings link on the site or use your browser settings to change or withdraw a choice. Necessary cookies may still be used to provide requested site functions.
Retention, Security, and Transfers
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, account and transaction records, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Squarespace and other providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is fully secure.
Your Choices and Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we control and may opt out of nonessential communications. Rights vary by location. Some account, transaction, security, or legal records may need to be retained. Email sam@gridflora.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the revised date on this page.

GridFlora supports lawful planning, research, and decision making for agrivoltaics. By using it, you agree to these rules.
Allowed Uses
- Generate scenarios for personal, business, or educational planning.
- Share results with advisors, as long as you disclose they come from a planning tool.
Prohibited Uses
- Making fraudulent claims, misleading investors or lenders, or presenting outputs as professionally verified.
- Scraping, copying, or redistributing the tool or its data without permission.
- Reverse engineering, hacking, bypassing access controls, or disrupting the site.
- Sharing or reselling paid account credentials.
- Any illegal activity.
Our Rights
We may restrict or revoke access, remove content, or report illegal use for violations.
Sponsor Policy
Paid Visibility Never Changes an Analytical Result
This policy applies to directory listings, sponsor placements, and provider introductions offered by GridFlora.
Required Disclosure
Sponsored. This provider paid for visibility. Payment does not affect GridFlora calculations, benchmarks, methodology, verification status, credentials, or analytical conclusions. A listing is not an endorsement or guarantee.
Placement and Independence
Sponsor fees purchase only the placement, duration, geography, category, and reporting stated in the sponsor order. Sponsors have no right to direct or approve formulas, research, benchmark selection, methodology, limitations, verification decisions, provider eligibility, editorial language, or analytical conclusions.
Sponsor Claims
Sponsors must provide accurate current information and reasonable support for material claims. GridFlora may edit, reject, suspend, or remove content that is unsupported, misleading, unsafe, outside program scope, or inconsistent with GridFlora standards.
Introductions and Information Use
An introduction means a user expressly requested contact and supplied information relevant to the provider's service. It does not guarantee a response, qualification, purchase, financing, contract, revenue, or completed project.
A provider may use introduction information only to respond to the request that produced the introduction unless the user gives separate permission. The provider must safeguard the information and must not resell or disclose it without authorization.
Measurement
Impressions, clicks, form activity, introductions, and other reports are planning and delivery measures. GridFlora does not guarantee traffic, lead volume, conversion, revenue, return on investment, market exclusivity, or uninterrupted availability.
Suspension and Removal
GridFlora may suspend or remove a sponsor for nonpayment, false or unsupported claims, misuse of user information, failure to respond, conduct creating material user risk, or interference with analytical independence.
Methodology and Limitations
A Documented Planning Framework
GridFlora combines user inputs, documented project information, public data, and reviewed calculation methods to produce planning estimates.
How to Read the Results
Results depend on the information entered, the geographic level shown, and the evidence available for the activity being modeled. GridFlora separates direct inputs from calculated results and identifies important limitations in the tool.
Activities are combined only when they represent distinct contributions. An activity already included in a baseline is not added again. One time construction effects remain separate from recurring operations.
Economic Results
GridFlora uses documented economic relationships selected for the activity and geographic level shown. Local and national results are separate views. State results are not offered at launch.
GridFlora is not a licensed IMPLAN, REMI, or other regional economic modeling service. Results are planning estimates, not certified forecasts or promises of jobs, income, spending, or project performance.
Review and Updates
Methods and sources are reviewed internally and may be updated when better evidence becomes available. Material decisions should include independent review appropriate to the project and location.
